“ Sri Ananda Bhawan, conveniently located near the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Silom, Bangkok, offers a delightful experience for anyone seeking authentic Indian cuisine. The food here is excellent, with dishes prepared by skilled Indian chefs and a diverse menu to choose from. Highlights: Paneer 65: Absolutely fantastic, a must-try for anyone visiting. Chutney and Sambhar: Flavorful and well-prepared. Wheat Parota & Mixed Veg Curry: Both were delicious and satisfying. Mutton Thali: At around 280 THB, this dish stood out with its balance of flavors and generous portions. Pairing it with naan or chapati elevated the experience. Palak Paneer: Unique with a clean paste and an interesting spicy twist. Desserts: The Gulab Jamun was delightful, and the ice cream was exactly as expected—classic and refreshing. For a group meal, the pricing is reasonable. For example, a meal with one Mutton Thali, one Chicken Thali, Palak Paneer, Garlic Naan, Chapathi, dessert (Gulab Jamun and Kulfi), and water totaled approximately 1150 THB, which felt like great value. Room for Improvement: The only downside is the hygiene in the kitchen. The visible mess in the see-through kitchen could be unsettling, even if the food quality remained uncompromised. Addressing this would significantly enhance the overall dining experience. Final Thoughts: Sri Ananda Bhawan is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Indian food in Silom. With its flavorful dishes and decent pricing, it’s worth a visit. I’m already looking forward to trying their dosas and exploring more of the menu on my next visit! ”
“ Really good bites! I used to live in Chennai and have been cooking South Indian Food for years. So I’m quite picky about where I go. I would say that this is a solid choice in Sathorn. I ordered the dosa, that was nothing special, but the paneer fry was excellent. The samosas were some of the best I’ve ever had. So this restaurant does some things very well. ”

“ You know you’ve found a great Indian restaurant when you see a diverse crowd of Indians enjoying their meal. The southern Indian cuisine is presented beautifully, and the grilled paneer was undoubtedly my favorite dish. The vibrant use of spices, rice-based dishes, and the prominent flavors of coconut and tamarind created a comforting and flavorful experience. Recommended for sure! ”
